Every Fourth of July, the Monmouth Flying Club’s main fundraiser turns the municipal airport into a breakfast spot for pilots and visitors from across the Midwest, who fly or drive in for a fresh-cooked meal. The Monmouth City Band performs alongside it, making it as much a small hometown holiday gathering as an aviation event.
