Monmouth’s city hall occupies a 1916 building at Broadway and Main, built by the National Bank of Monmouth on the site of its earlier 1870s bank — the corner still carries both dates carved into its facade. The bank operated here for more than eighty years before moving to a new building a block east around 2000; it then donated the building to the city, which relocated City Hall here from its older, cramped quarters on North Main Street. The paired columns and classical facade are original. It’s at 100 E. Broadway, a short walk from the downtown square.
